Inside/outside

p2229280flowers.jpgThis is round three of the paperwhites I’ve been forcing on my kitchen windowsill all winter. The bag of bulbs I bought last autumn was one of my best investments of the years, I think. I still have enough bulbs to get me through the rest of this winter and well into daffodil season.

p2229307snowtree.jpgAnd I’ll need them, too. Our recent snowfall (nothing major, but enough to close area schools and require shoveling out driveways and sidewalks) reminded me that there’s still a fair amount of winter left…

yours are beautiful! How do you keep them from getting so tall and just falling over? mine are tall and top heavy, so the stalks go every which way…they aren’t particularly pretty this way!

We have had so much snow that the girls are now praying for us *not* to get another snow day. Trixie signed up for a pottery elective this quarter, which only meets on Wednesdays, and she has only been able to attend twice!

We’re looking at another 7-11 inches tonight, but we have tickets to hear Natalie MacMaster. The venue is 1 hour away, so I’m trying to see if we can switch the tickets to tomorrow. I’m not so sure they’d OK that.

They look lovely and spring-y. I have lots of daffodils, and it was 67 yesterday, but we might have snow flurries tomorrow.
