We had a Star Wars Day blowout at the larger of the two branches, and it was AWESOME!!!! Our “Library Guys” (the 2 male staff members) dressed as a (non-scary) Sith Lord and a Jedi Master (a la Qui-Gon Jin); they organized trivia contest, prize drawings, book/movie displays, and had LEGO Star Wars on the Xbox for the after-school crowd to play. They also had a fabulous figurine display and cardboard standups. A regular patron brought his 2 sons in dressed up as Jawas, and our new director drove across the county just to check out the festivities and engage in a light-saber duel. We can’t wait until next year when we’re in our new building!
Thought of you all that day, Marsha–wish you could have been here!
Heh.
:-D Nice.
I’m not even a Star Wars fan and I like that one!
“Not even a Star Wars fan…”?
*tries to wrap her head about that one*
Okay, if you’re talking about the three most recent films, I totally agree with you–those sucked eggs.
