It is so difficult reading a book with characters you don't like. I admire you for plowing through, because usually I don't. (Reason #1 why I never finished The Sun Also Rises.)

And I can't wait to see pictures of that blanket-for-the-shoulders. (See how cleverly I made it into not-lace-knitting?)

@Maggie May: I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I think it was indeed a great book, but I wish its greatness had included letting my connect emotionally with the characters.
.
@knittymama: I think you are absolutely right. :)
.
@Amy: What did you think of that book? It's on my to-read list--more for the zombies than the Austen, to tell the truth. Heh.
.
@Chris: This has all been spread out over a couple of weeks, so it's not that impressive...
.
@Deborah: I am knitting the Kimono Shawl from Folk Shawls (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kimono-shawl). Since it's rectangular, I just cast on enough stitches (aside from 8 sts on each side, it's a 10+1 pattern) to make it as wide as I wanted, and then I'll knit it until I like the length. :)

I'd forgotten Sayid was in that--but he's much too fully clothed, methinks. :-)

I just finished reading Pride adn Prejudice and Zombies. Apparently we're both on a Austen-variant kick right now.
