Back to butterflies
Last fall we participated in the butterfly tag-and-release day at one of our county parks (which just happens to be a 300+-year-old working farm). We had a great time then and were thrilled to be able to go to this year’s event, which was held last weekend. This time, I even managed to get a photo of Sylvia “letting a butterfly go.”

Wow! How very cool! And the way Sylvia is holding out her hand for the precious butterfly… Just lovely.
That’s a very cool picture of Sylvia!
Great pictures Marsha!
I hope to make it there next year. I found a site that sells tags for do-it-yourself releases. I wonder who actually finds them at the other end?
@Shannah: This part was even more exciting for her than the tagging!
.
@Chris: Thanks!
.
@Laura: Hmmm! Good question! I have no idea. I know that the tags used at the farm here each have a phone number or website URL, so whoever finds them can submit the data.
Very nice pictures! What a neat event, too.
