    How do you deal with Japanese beetles? They are horrible here. They started on the basil, then the eggplant and now they are after the squash!

    Marsha – thanks for that link. We’d try a few of those things without success, though one of the unsuccessful techniques did seem to work in a previous year.

    (didn’t finish my thought) The link you posted has a lot more options for controlling those pests – vacuuming, bug juice, and neem are all new things I hadn’t heard of.
