Assignment: Negative space
This week’s assignment is “negative space,” which is something I sort of knew about before. I had an intuitive understanding of it but had never consciously worked it into my photography before this assignment.
If I had to title this photo, I’d call it “Ironic.” This birdhouse was given to Sylvia for her birthday last year by one of our neighbors. Both the neighbor and the potter who made this (someone in Lancaster County, PA) have an unusual sense of humor, it seems.
Camera: Olympus E-300
Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 45 mm

This is a great photo! I love the birdhouse. The blue in it is very pretty against the backdrop of white snow.
I love that birdhouse! Hee hee.
That is a cute birdhouse.
Great photo! And that birdhouse is pretty funny. I’d like to see a bird looking out…
Nice. Love the birdhouse.
