Blanket statement

pc208792blanketstrip.jpgOne (blogless) friend in my knitting group is a very prolific charity knitter. A few weeks ago she asked if anyone in the group would be wiling to contribute garter-stitch strips (in worsted wool) that she would seam together into baby blankets to send to Afghanistan. Here’s the 46-inch-long strip I knit for her, in just about a week while watching DVDs and sitting in church. (Yes, my church is so mellow that I can openly knit during services. Lovely.)

The strip looks beautiful. I love the color combination you used. The yarn seems to have some texture in it. What did you use?

Nice work! I always think about knitting in church–making good use of time, and I listen better whilst knitting anyway–but have not yet because it would make others uncomfortable. . . glad your church is cool about that!
