Compassion
Honestly, I can’t imagine how anyone can say this is a bad thing. Seriously–what arguments can possibly be made against this ideal?
I’ve signed the charter. I hope you do, too.

*sigh* There are so many things that, to me, seem self-evident, yet…
The ideal is fine, but I’m a little freaked out by the use of the Cylon Founders’ symbol… :)
I signed.
I signed too.
the past few days 1st Cor 13 4-7 has also been on my mind
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Insert your name instead of the word “Love” so it’s Deanie is patient, Deanie is kind… Yikes. Especially when I get to the “keeps no record of wrongs” which is also a huge part of compassion, I think. i’ve got stuff to work on.
