Would any of you actually wear sweaters with patches of needle-felted roving in random spots on it? I guess it would work, but the kits they sell are awfully pricey.

Maybe…if it were the same color as the sweater??

And yeah…why a kit? Why not just buy some roving? What do you need – a piece of foam, some roving, and a needle? Umm…I can get that all without buying a kit, easy…. :)

@Arianna: The same color might work, but it would have to be a pretty good match. Actually, now that I think about it, it might be better to go the “I know it doesn’t match exactly, so I won’t even try” route and use colors that contrast with the original. And yeah, I totally agree with you: I would so NOT buy this kit for this. But I’m a knitter and I know a little bit about fiber. I could see how the kit might be useful for people who have no idea that stuff like roving and felting needles exist!

I don’t know, it would depend upon the sweater. But that guy at the end reminded me of my brother, pulling the turtleneck with patches all over it on … I think my bro would wear one that that!!

Kits are for those of us who need help.

@Evelin: I think I would wear a “Woolfilled” sweater if it had little wooly patches all over the place, not just where the holes were. Like wooly polka-dots!
